Default just got my banshee and have a problem already...

so ya was trailin for like an hour and a half, took a break had something to eat and before we were ready to load all our quads on the trailor i wanted to open her up down the street one last time so i did, and i was comming back, made a U turn and then it started to stall, hmmm i though so it shut off, i tried to kick it on again and the kick start didnt budge, at all. so to get it to move we had to put it in 5th gear and push it backwards and that helped with the kick start but when i fired it up it sounded like shit and stalled again, i felt the 2 pipes and one was hot other was cold so i think only one cylnder is working, its suppoed to have a brand new top end done but idk, my friends running a compression test today, what do you guys think it could be? i used to run synthetic through it but didnt have any so i did one tank of yamalube but i dont think one tank would ruin anything, also someone said you cant keep a banshee fulll throttle in 6th gear for very long cause theres no rev limitor is that true? cause i sure did like the speed for a long time haha get back to me thanks

Its very hard on a two stroke to run them WOT for a long period of time. You could very well have one of your topends fried on you.

How long did you keep it WOT? Like blue said, you might of blown it up. Prop a ring or a snapped rod. I know in my nitro r/c cars, if u did that it would snap a connecting rod like cheap made in china plastic.

I think opening up the top and inspecting the top end couldnt hurt.

depends. You can just rebuild one side if youd want. But shee pistons are pretty cheap so id rebuild both side and make it easier on yourself in the long run. Let a machine shop take a look at your cylinder and check it for roundness and get their opinion on the smallest over bore you can go. Heres a link for some good wiseco pistons for it.

Id replace all the seals while your at it. Check the rod and crank bearings too. Better safe than sorry right?
