| i run t5's, vf3's, single k&n in box with lid off, 300 mains for the summer..and im under 1000ft, seems to run awesome, unfortunatley i installed the pipes and reeds at the same time though so i couldnt really gauge which did what, but from what i hear they basically help that low end bog alot, more instant throttle response and maybe crisper acceleration? i dont know about hp numbers.. im sure they claim somethin but who knows |

| Thanks for your input Erik!! Another question: Are we to use silicone/adhesive on the gaskets that come with the kit or we apply them dry?

| id go down one size on the main jet ,it will increase hp by 2-3 more and more importantly add 2lbs of torque everywhere ,most noticably felt i nthe lower end rpm and snap off idle . they are the best ....wise choice .when it comes to intakes i like to apply with light amount of lithium grease on gaskets and sealing surfaces , nothing worse than chasing carb jetting around forever becuase yo u got some tiny air leak you cant see or detect where its at ![]()

| I am running a bit rich & thought about dropping that jet to 190 but kinda scared to lean it out. Thanks for your help Evil! Anyone know the torque specs for the reeds?

| no clue about torque specs, i just put em on with alittle gasket maker on both sides and tightened down then snugged it a ltitle, as im sure itd be easy to blow one of those bolts apart if you started gettin silly with it i was thinkin about doing a plug chop soon too to get some opinions, my bike seems to run great at 300 main but might be a tad rich,, ive never done a real plug "chop" i just look at the ends of them.. |

| You shouldn't have to adjust the main, sometimes you have to lean the needle a clip....but not always. You will get better throttle response out of VForce reeds, but they really shine on ported motors more than OEM porting. I've always used a thin coat of RTV (any kind, reed surfaces don't get real, real hot) just to make sure of a good seal. I can't imagine the torque spec being much more than 7 to 10 ft. lbs...if that. Like Evil said...nothing worse than a tiny air leak that could've been avoided with a little silicone!!! |

| I do remember you sayin you use silicone to assure proper seal. I used it as you suggested & didn't have a problem. I'll prob put those in this weekend. As far as porting goes, I just spent my port money on a mothers day patio set. I guess it has to wait again ![]()
