| I have a cracked left intake boot on my banshee and I have been tossing an idea around in my head that I can use this as an excuse to upgrade or just replace the cracked boot. |

| well one or the other. You need a new boot with thats what your asking. If its weathered like that, youll suck in air and run your cylinder lean. And lean equals hot which means big problems.

| Oh I definitely need a new boot no question about that, I was just wondering if the aftermarket one are worth the money or not, and I know what your saying about it runnig lean, I just haven't ridden it for awhile and kicked it over today and the rpm's went to the roof and I hit the kill swicth in a heart beat so hopefully I dident cause any damage. | well its kinda like porting your cylinder and getting rid of casting flaws, but instead in your intake manifold a stock one would have casting flaws, and an aftermarket one wouldnt
