| Clean the carbs out...sounds like something is stuck or clogged...leaning out the low speed circuit. If putting the choke on (more fuel) causes the idle to go down, you most likely have a lean surge down low. Make sure the carbs and ALL if its holes, jets, etc. are spot free...dirt free, and the float are set correctly as well. I assume you have stock carbs, make sure the choke tube between the two carbs is in good shape, connected, not rotted or cracked. |
