| I think your going to have alot of work ahead of you friend ,aligning the drive system to the rear end will probably be difficult and theyre will be clearance issues. so will motor mounting and routing the exhaust system on the frame. i wouldnt just throw a traditional 440 sled engine in it cause its not going to be much for performance in the banshee frame ,now a triple machZ might be very badass

| Yeah...a 1000cc Thundercat motor is fun to watch, too... In the end, if you spent a few G's on a banshee motor, it would be bad ass. You could easily spend that and more in fab materials and work to get a sled motor and drive system shoe horned into a banshee frame. Unique...and cool...but a TON of work. Best of luck, either way.... |

| Well I ask thit ? over at planet sand and got no responce! So I asked it here.. The one has not been started in like 2 years but did run it is a 500 cc the other has had work done to it piped bigger carb and port work .. The guy I got these off of said he could not let it wind out because he could not hold on when it climbed all they into the pipe.. I was also wanting to know if I could just use the top end on a shee bottom end .. Then what kind of tranny set up would I need to get thing ready to realy bust ass !!! thanks

| You can make the cylinders work....but, to be honest, by the time you get all the machining work done, figured out port mapping, matching...etc., you would've probably been better off with a cub or cheetah motor. They bolt up. Unless you were going to build a HUGE 800cc or bigger twin and try to mate it up, you can get more power out of aftermarket bolt on cylinders.... I'm not trying to be a negative pessimist...but it's a huge project, lots of man hours, lots of machining and custom fab work....in the end, bolting on some aftermarket cylinders would yield the same OR better results.... |
