| Disconnect the wiring for the parking brake under the hood. The bike is faling on it's face after you shift up a gear huh? Unplug it and it should run better. If it's already unplugged then remove the plug boot on the right side and trim 1/2 inch off the plug wire. Put cap back on and it should be okay.

| trimming the plug might help ..also id check the intake manifold for cracks (and cylinders/bases too ) even a very small air leak will show up at high RPMS

| i finally got a few minutes to warm the motor up and do a compression check, i came up with 115 in each cly. i would think thats kinda low. (bored .20 over and ported) the parking brake was plugged in, so i unplugged it and it did run a little better but still run into the same problem....... |

| 115 for a used motor isn't that bad, porting usually drops your compression a tad, but not much. Is the tester you used any good (not an autozone 5 dollar cheapy...) And...did you warm the bike up, hold the throttle wide open and keep on kicking till it didn't go up anymore on the gauge? ( I know that's a stupid question...but I can't tell you how many times guys will say I kicked it 10 times on each cylinder....) Check all wires in the wire harness. Start the bike up and spray down the base of the cylinders and the intakes with carb cleaner... Lastly, buy a leak down kit tester, and hope that a crank seal isn't bad. Normally, the PTO (right side) of the crank seal goes first.... |

| found some fucked up wires rubbing the frame. fixed them and she runs fairly strong except for the cracking sound the still haunts my coming outta the right cly |
