| so i went ridig today and the bearings in the left side of the crank and completely wasted so i just want to get a new crank....if i get a 4mm stroker do i have to do anything else to the motor or can i just put it in...also if anyone has a crank for sale for cheap any kind of crank please pm me ill be interested |

| If the bearings did not chew up the crank itself, which...they rarely do, I can get your crank fixed for less than half the cost of a new one. 100 bucks to true and weld it (ALL cranks need this, regardless) and about 15 bucks per bearing. As long as the rod pin bearings are ok and the middle bearings are ok...you're looking at 130 to do both PTO and flywheel side bearings, true and weld the crank. PM me if you're interested... To answer your question...if you buy a 4 mil crank, you will have to either run a spacer plate under your cylinders...or have the head/domes cut to run the piston up into it. If you go the cut head/domes route, the port timings will also have to be changed to accommodate the longer stroke. If you run a long rod 4 mil crank, you'll need blaster or 795 series pistons as well to work with the 5 mil longer rod.... |
