what are some good shee mods

i just bought a 1999 banshee it is pretty much stock i was just wondering what i could do to get a lettle more out of it but i do have a low budget i think i can spend around 1000. What do you think i could do for the money to get the best out of it?????????

Get some pipes there a must mod for the shee. Get a k/n or equivalent filter set up, a adjustable timing plate and mabey get your head cut. That will be way under a grand and you can spend the rest on some other things like getting rid of your T.O.R.S. and such things like that.
What are you planning on doing in the long run with it ? Trail, drag, duner, ect....?

I second that motion. Do that and you'll be in good shape. The first few things I did to mine was a milled head, lightened flywheel, T.O.R.S. eliminators, pipes, and jetting. I also ditched my radiator overflow, they make your bike overheat in the dunes. I still haven't gone with a timing plate though, not too sure why. Later I changed pipes, jets, went to V Force reeds, and have since ported it and added a cool head.

If you look at the side of your engine, or if you take the seat off and look at your carbs, they are the big flat sided things on top of the carbs. They are some safety device that shuts the fuel off if you roll your bike. The eliminator kit get rid of those and put a standard carb top on them. By the way, where do you ride in Brooklyn?

pipes and porting the 2 bigest things that a shee desires! thats where Id put the $1000 for sure.
