Default new to site and banshees

Hello all. Been reading a lot on this site and figured it was time to join. Anyways I just bought and 02 banshee last week. Feels like it runs pretty strong, just hard as hell to start. Also leaks gas out of what looks like a drain tube coming from the carb. pulled the plugs after a ride they look pretty new, but were a little wet. no wetness on the pipes. the guy I bought it from was running spectro gold 42:1 im thinking that maybe the gas could be old? Im completely new to banshees as well as 2 strokes. info on the bike, toomey t 5's, v force reeds, k&n filter, everything else stock (i think) thanks for any help. And holy hell was that 1st ride a rush!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to E2S! Good to see another rider
from California. Where do you ride? Lets see
some pics of that shee! Oh and those problems
sound like a jetting issue to me.

He rides like a girl. hahaha. Sorry had to say it. Sounds to me like you have some gunk in those carbs. It shouldnt leak out of any tubes. Sounds like your floats are stuck. How are you trying to start it. Are you new to 2 strokes? Give us some info, there are alot of helpfull people here but it helps to have all the info you can give us

Welcome to e2s

Default Welcome To E2S!!!

Just wait till you really dial it in & the powerband kicks in! BOOM!!!! Gone in a hurry!
Drain tank & mix a fresh batch. Throw new plugs in there too.
The float might be stuck. Remove the carb bottoms [Carb Bowls]. Wash it down with carb cleaner.
Kinda works like a toilet lol... That float prevents the gas from spilling out!
Do you feel good pressure on the kicker? Low compression will always require more kicks than a donkey!

We have tons of good guys on here who will make sure you get her running!
Thanks for joining us!!

Please specify if it is the single tube on the very bottom of the carb, or the two L or J Shaped hoses from the middle of the carb pointing down.

If it's the very bottom, single hose, there is dirt in the drain screw/hole preventing it from closing all the way and sealing.

if it's leaking fuel out of one of the two smaller, L shaped hoses, it is one of the following:
1. Needle and seat not seating properly
2. Float sticking
3. Float level set improperly...

Welcome to the sight....
