| And yes the carbs are stock, but they came off of ebay, so who knows if they were someone else's problem??? Everything appears to be right, I checked the needle for leakage and there was none (using alcohol which is thinner than gas) |

| OK, just as an update if anyone was curious, When we would check compression it kept varying(using a snap-on tester btw) so out of curiosity I went ahead and pulled the jugs. Guess what......The Namura pistons we JUST put in that MIGHT have 8 hours on them are TOAST!!!!! The "anti-friction" coating which is the reason my buddy got them came off, opening up the claerances and letting the piston rock causing erratic readings. If anyone else is considering these pistons DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT buy them. The rings were also shot, and apparently the pin either bent or the bore for it closed up b/c we had to hammer the pin out. Just save yourself some grief and use wiseco. I had them in my yz80 when I was younger and I have them in my CR125 now and have never had a problem.

| B1qwkbird, I have a 2000 shee that I just performed a top end on myself and mine is not firing on the Left side. SO WE HAVE A VERY SIMILAR PROBLEM GOING ON HERE FROM WHAT I'VE READ ABOUR YOURS.........I have spark on both sides, swapped plug wires too and problem stayed with the Left side. I checked the reeds again, they are only a few months old and bike was running (weak) before I started, NO GAPS. I have fuel going to both carbs and they are clean. They are sporting 310 main_jets and my needles are set to the point just below the center bump (three notches on top and three below) mine are set at the third one from the bottom. I remember someone saying to swap the carbs...... What do you do with the choke crossover tube ports, cap em off or what? .................................... Any help from the gallery would probably help us both out.................................... Has anyone had a similar problem in the past, like this????????????????????? I am also new to posting on this forum, but have been perusing ETS for info etc... for a year or more now......... Thanks in advance Tj |
