Hey I cant really answer your question but I was gonna get a rev box and possibly the one you just got. Fill me in on the difference it makes for the quad im just wondering if its worth all the extra money compared to the others

is it a rev box? or a full ignition like a Dyna tech? if its one of those rev box's they dont do sh*t for a 2stroke. the only ignitions that really do anything on a 2stroke are Dyna Tech, Nology Coil, PVL, and moddified flywheel.

Yeah sorry I kinda said that wrong I know its an ignition so you can adjust the time curves advance the timing right and the vortec has a switch you put on your handle bars. but does it not also work as a rev box as well or something get you 1000 more rpm or something like that.. So if I get an ignition like this or a dynatek one does that mean I wont need an adjustable timing plate to advance the timing it does it for you

That is correct....
However, unless you got a TON of work done to your bike, plan on running a tach, Nitrous stutter, etc., OEM CDI is just fine with a plate.

If you have time to program the CDI and hit a dyno to tune it in, then it might be worth it...

I got rid of my Dyna and went back to a stock OEM CDI for my drag bike...
