Default Dyno tune ?? Yes or No...... Help

So Im thinking about having my shee dyno tuned..I have the bike running pretty good, buy just not good enough...
Whats does everyone think about the dyno tune?
Does this really get it spot on? Im new to the dyno thing...
What is a average fare price to pay for this...
There is a guy around here that is supposed to be REALLY good with banshee's...he has a dyno and says that he could get high 60's out of my shee...I really dont care about how much power he can steal, I just want her to run good...
So anyone with any info please chime in....
thanks Joseph

they can pretty much get any number they want it to read and they vary ,if your hunting for a magic peak number than dont waste your money becuase yo uwill probably be dissapointed ,it is better for seeing what modifcations do wha tand how they effect the power curve . i wouldnt waste my money ,they arent under the same load as when theyre ridden and often they really have to richen them up to hit the best numbers . but it might be neat to try once ithin kits around $50-75$ for a couple runs and thats pretty much less than an hour

I have considered doing it too....All my buddies with 4-strokes keep taking their bikes to the dyno... The peak numbers dont mean much, but its nice to have a baseline to compare with if you ever change to a different set-up...

Since you're specifically looking to tune your bike, and you don't have the time or patience to do it at your local ride spot...I say go for it.

Keep in mind, it will be perfectly jetted at the dyno...
Then figure once you get to your ride spot with a different temp, elevation, etc., you may have to tweak... It is not a "set it and forget it" deal....leave that to TV Ovens.

As said, dynos are a great tool to tune on and try back to back mods.
Forget about the number...if it's low it's a disappointment, if it's high....it's great until you get knocked off your horse by a lower number because of lighter weight, better rider, better setup...etc....

Dont waste your money. I dynoed my shee and i didnt get anything out of it except dyno charts. woooo how cool huh.

A very good point has been brought up. It will be tuned great for that day....but that's it.

Just adjust the carbs when you go ride, maybe a little rich than needed and be happy with it. That's what i do. It might not be the more power all the time but it's reliable and safe. Denny told me how much power my bike will make and he was right. any builder that has been at it a while should be able to do that. Hp doest matter when a drag anyways.

btw $100+ to tune a bike is rediculious. Wow. Just light a match to your wallet instead.
