spark plug came loose

Went riding this weekend. Bikes running tits now btw. anyway, while i was riding one of the spark plugs must of vibrated loose and came out, heard like a whistling sound and immediately shut the bike off. What I was wondering is if this has happened to any of you guys? put it back in and the bike ran fine, maybe i didn't tighten it enough last time?

all I know is< I would rather let a spark plug vibrate loose than to strip the head. Oh, and this has happened to me once on a 4 poke. It was a little atc 70 but that is the only time it ever happened.

Technically you are not supposed to take a plug out and put it back in. They have that little squish washer on there for a reason. It works as a lock washer. Once it is tightened though, thats it.

I'm thinkin you might have hand tightened it and forgot to wrench it tight.

Haha 'someone' did that to my old go kart I had when I was a kid

yup, had my motor worked on, got it back from the shop and a few weeks later one of the spark plugs came out. put it back in, tightend it and its been fine since

I've heard of this happening on high compression motors.
Only had this happen once, user error! lol..

I think alcohol was involved in the tightning process, that could be a factor eh?
