I have ridden a few with 2-1 pipe. It broadens the power out some, basically good for tight trails and woods riding. they sound really cool though.

Massive bottom end torque from the 2 into1 pipes for the shee. That is all we run.You will lose some top end with them. But the gains on the low end are worth it for trail riding.Plus they sound wicked.
Motofast made the best ones, and the dyno ports are good too,but a little more lowend with the motofast.

personlay i dont like them ,they definilty smooth out the powerband and make linear torque curve but the loss of a potential 2-3 thousand rpms isnt worth it to me ,alot of people hate on the fmf fatty pipes for most bikes but i think a milled head @ 20cc and fmf fattys makes a banshee a strong wide powerband and stil l hits over 8thousand rpms on the long stretches ,a small displacment parralel twin just has a nature of needing dual hig h reving pipes to make the power .its part of the engine design that will make yo u rob peter to pay paul, that doesnt mean youll be unhappy or wont notice a good amount of imrpovment though ,alot of people like them ,im old school i thin k each cylinder needs its own pipe and its own carb and filter

Yeah,they are a love/hate pipe for most.
We do a lot of gnarly rocky trailriding and hillclimbing,in tight woods areas.
So the 2-1 pipe shines the best for that.We do not need that top end.For duning,or drag racing DO -NOT run the 2-1 pipe.
I will add,we run the dual carb set-up with the 2-1 pipe. Many say you have to run the 2-1 carb too,but that is totally false.

I have been long wanting to go with the DMC 916 set-up,as quite a few have spoke from experience that those are good pipes all around for a shee.
But at the 500 price tag,I have yet to experiment with them.

Same with the 2 into 1 for sound.

I describe the sound as(a indy car on crack).

No matter where I go riding, people come up to me and say(man I heard that pipe and thought there was a crocth rocket out here in the trails)LOL
