| if your not running a brake light , yank it off, it won't hurt anything just tape the ends of the wires after your done, or it most likely just uses a plug connector.

| I'm keeping the tailight & only want it to light up, don't want the brake light part of it. Want to make sure I don't kill that light entirely & make sure it doesn't affect anything else by removing that acutator. Thanks.

| only one way to find out just unplug it and see if your tail light still works, if it doesnt' just complete the circuit

| On my Blaster I removed the brakelight switch and left the tailight on, it worked fine. I'm not positive on the Banshee but I don't see why it wouldn't be the same.
