Question Quick carb question

how high do the slides have to be on stock carbs so that the bike holds an steady idle

Hard to say.... do you have the tors removed and have the carbs drilled and tapped for idle screws?

no still have tors but wen i looked down airbox the slides seem bottemed out
but there in the right way cutaway facing air box

o ok
i think its the left side only that needs to be raised cause wen i push the throttle
slightly the left side lifts about a millameter and then the right side comes up

The drill you get with the Motion Pro kit it a Number 6.
The tap is a M6x0.75 . The two screws that come with the kit are brass and have a spring to lock it. But you could get some regular steel screws long enough, and a jam nut. Take them to the grinding wheel and round off the end. Install them and cync the carbs and set the jam nut.

and do i need the carb tops or could i keep the tors on top
