Default Fresh rebuild...not starting

Just rebuild my banshee motor, went .020 over with wisecos, boyesen corbon fiber reeds, and my mods are pro circuit pipes, k&n filter, and thats it.

Got the motor and everything togather...and it wouldn't start. Squirted gas into thecarbsand it fired, but only the right cylinder is running full...the left is backfiring and popping and only firing occassionally. After a mouse blew out of my left exhaust pipe, it ran a bit better but it was still missing on theleft side. Any ideas?

I also just wired up new headlights, Jokers. Instead of just 2 headlights there is 4, 2 on each side, 55w halogen balbs. The quad runs the same when the lights weren't wired up, and it wont work now with them wired. I knowI need a bigger stator for sure....

Another issue I found out when going through the carbs is the left carb has a problem....whomever had the quad before me tried takking out the needle jet that the needle seats into. They tried pounding it out with a philips head screwdriver.....the wrong way....so the jet itsself is not good. Im getting a new one and rejetting it for the winter time...its got 240 mains in it now...im jumping up to a 280 or 270 main I think. And doing plug chops fromt here.

It ran fine until I think the motor went, it started sputtering and getting harder to start....the pistons themself weren't bad, I should of check the rings to see if they were just worn, but i bored it over....I'm starting to think that mabye that wasn't the problem, and something electircal is the problem.....any input from you guys would be very helpfull....im getting a new needle jet on tuesday...and working form there.

One other thing that was done is the guy who built my motor ported the pistons. He made the intake ports larger so that when the motor is at top dead center, the intake ports are fullly open. I don't believe this is causing the problem. The motor also has a very high idle and i have to turn the kill sqwitch on and off so it doesn't blow the new pistons. I don't know if the compression tester I used is right or not...but both cylinders were consistent and 111-112 lbs of compression....for a fresh motor I think this isn't good....could this be a gasket leak or is that normal?? Im stuck here guys, and need some advice...

For starters I would unplug the lights for now as you could be draining the spark needed. But it sounds like the carbs are out of whack. Get the carbs squared away, syncronized and it should run on both sides. Then unplug the TORS and get the idles dialed in. If you had mice in the pipes I would pull them back off and make sure they are cleaned out.

both of the expansion chambers were taken off, sprayed out by an air line, then i cleaned them with oven cleaner and washed it out with water, both silencers were blown out with an air line and checked for mice lol.....

the headlights arent the problem, but i can shut them off until i figure out what is wrong....and they look trick as all hell on the banshee...

Only time I had a pop carb type prob on the shee was due to a flywheel issue, pull it and inspect.
That compression reading is too low for a fresh build, my Shee was very hard to kick with that type of compression..
You getting spark?
