| as long as its the same diameter opening it should clamp right on... if its a different size opening on the new uni,, then yes the kid at the shop is full of shit |
| ||||||||||||
| why are you switching to uni? i have only heard good things about k&n. I have no idea about the adapter, people are pretty dumb at the shop. when i got pipes form my blaster they gave me a leaner jet than what it should be. they said it should be fine aslong as you keep the airbox lid on. i had to adjust the air fuel screw to fix it from bieng lean because my plug was turning white.

| hey, off topic, but adjusting your air fuel screw isnt gona make up for a lean main jet, the air fuiel screw is only responsable for idle - 1/4 throttle, if its got a lean main jet in it, its gona run lean on top, u should buy new main jets, $2 a peice |

| I actually didn't know that, i guess i'll ahve to buy one. i have been ridding in low rpms a while thats prob y the plug didn't get white. thanx. |

| no problem, your best bet would be to post in the blaster section, list your mods, elevation and current temperature and the guys with blasters will get you to a safe starting point to play with from there.. and remember you always run them a little fatter in the winter with the cold temps (if you have winter whereever you live) also with the air fuel screw, thats the best way to tell if your pilot is right, if its a stock blaster, stock port and all that , then the stock pilot is fine, but the best way to tell, start with air fuel screw all the way in, turn 1/2 turn out at a time, wait 10 seconds or so to take effect, keep doin this untilll you get the idle the highest, if you have to turn the air fuel screw more than 2 turns out, your pilot jet is too rich Last edited by Michael Jackson; 01-24-2008 at 04:46 PM. |

| I was wondering cause the uni has a little hole on the other end almost like a bracket or something goes in there to keep it from colapsing? And im ditching the k&n cause i ride in a lot of dust,dirt, sand and that k&n likes to let fine sand in even with outerwears. Im just gonna use it to shit in while out riding.

| yea the unis have a little perferated steel thing that goes inside to keep it from collapsing , as long as the open end mounts to the bracket and clamps down air tight with the hose clamp, run it |

| So just plug that little hole up with something? I think I have just the thing.
