Question Big or Small bore

What qualifies as big bore or small bore. If you have a big bore pipe on a small bore or a stroker will it greatly hinder the performance and vica versa. thanks

a big bore is when you buy a bigger sleeve or complete cylinder. Boring your stock cylinders .080 is not considered a big bore. Putting a big bore pipe on a small bore cylinder will cause you to lose bottom end. Having a regular pipe on a big bore will hinder your top end. Bottom line is that if you want your motor to run at its full potentiel, you need to have a pipe that matches your motor.
As far as having a stroker crank in your motor, that won't effect your pipe but you'll want to get your motor ported to make it run like it should with the stroker crank in it

It is all based on opinion but over 500-550cc they would be an improvement. I assume that you are going to be drag racing? I understand that the big bore pipes are all topend even with a machine over 500-550cc
