Default Banshee

is it possble to get a Banshee to handle and jump well in comparing to a TRX250R or new 450? also is there any way of getting the overall wieght noticeably down? i rode one the other day and loved the power but it felt real heavy compared to my TRX

the bike is mainly steel and cast iron. you need to put in alot alumium replacements in to make a couple pounds lighter. the
one that makes a bit lighter is installing pipes the stock ones are heavy

the only way your going to get a banshee to compare to a TRX250R on the track is to get an aftermarket 250r geometry frame for the banshee. Aftermarket shocks, A-arms, axle, and swing arm are a must also.

it will never be great at jumping because of the power delivery and suspension geometry, as far as being heavy, yea they are a bit heavy stock, but you can lighten them up easy, hell those new kaw/suz 450's are only about 15 pounds lighter.. all in all though youd be better off on a 250r or a 450 for mx or that kind of riding..but if your dead set on a banshee, you can look into one of those aftermarket banshee frames that shares the 250r suspension geometry

They just aren't made for MX. Sure...you can eventually spend enough money to make it work, or you can just keep your 250R.

You could probably make a 1981 Honda ATC 90R a great trail and MX bike....but it would be equally pointless in my book....
