Sorry I couldn't answer your question. I stick to Wiseco Prolites. Our sponsor RJ ATV has those kits on deck.
Check the Sale Forum, he has the best price on those!!

Try doing a search for WSM on this forum. I had a post very similar to yours awhile back. You'll get mixed reviews about wsm, most are negative. I would stick with wisecos. I went for pro-x cause the shop doing my machine work couldn't get them(wisecos) in time for glamis. So far so good.

I think most people who comment on WSM in a negative way have never run them.
I've never used them...but I know a few people that have. Mainly a good buddy of mine that drag races and they work DAMN fine, have all year.

I try to stay away from lightened pistons. Although I never tried them...the idea of cutting the intake windows doesn't sit well with me. My buddy had a set of them crack the intake side, since then prolites have done him fine....

my cheeta cub had WSM pistons. they came from Tony Doukas, they are made by Athena. Tony prefers them, im rebuilding this motor as we speek and am going back with Wiesco pistons. the WSM pistons were in the motor for two race seasons and they still held up fine. just switching over because of the known reliability of the Wiesco. and like FLOTEK said they are made in U.S.A., WSM pistons are made i switzerland or something like that. i know every thing we work on is made in japan, but thier made faster by AMERICAN parts.

cutting wisecos introduces internal cutting pressure into the aluminum and less material is ultamtely weaker ,if you use a carbide cutter o na bridgeport it can hold up and work good but they need changed sooner becuase they have a tendenacy to crack at the intake windows ...i had a shisty co worker a few years ago who owned a small local atv shop who sold the wsm kits alot ,to me they look cheesy and less quality in comaprasin , but he sure liked selling them for local banshee guys cause he got them ordered in for next to nothing and sold them for same price as wiseco topend kits, that alone turned me off to them ,my question is why take the risk?we know the prolites are proven and known to be top notch and readily available ,would it be worth it to save 10 or 15 bucks and be iffy about your engine .the piston is the heart of your motor ,dont run a foreign pacemaker, the vitos power pistons crack, i have past customers shattered pistons in my shop laying in pieces that ive dug out of expensive bottom ends ,it is not worth doinga cracked piston expands and contracts and rattles around among other things ,it can crack your sleeve and if your sleeve is cracked its game over ...your topend is now toast
