powervalves open and close in the exaust port and allow better timing for better power, especially in the bottom end where the 2 stroke is weakest. You can do the budget rz electronic powervalve conversion, or a few aftermarcket companies make a mechanical version such as the cheetah PV. They make tons of power and are excellent for trail bikes to drag bikes.

And I was at a shop earlier where I dropped off a Blaster cylinder for bore/hone.
The mechanic was talking to a customer about sending a cylinder to LA Sleeve for a powervalve modification.

it should make a big difference, 34mm carbs are way to big for your motor, theyll probly still be on the big side after a port job...you lose a lot of what is already lacking bottom end with big carbs...

i know the carbs are way to big, i bought this bike from a friend who needed money and had just put it together to make it run. it prevously had some sort of big bore kit and was crazy fast untill he scattered it. right now the cylinders are totaly stock so i'm wanting to port them and go to a big bore of my own later but nothing crazy like he had. right now it has nothing on the bottom but will scream on the top. i just want to explore my options and build a clean trail bike that really looks good too. how big would i need to go in bore size to still use the carbs i have right now?
