Really can't tell anything by that plug picture. White smoke, blue smoke? More when it's cold, all the time? What is the compression of the engine? How much oil are you using in your gas? What kind of oil? Is your gearbox low on fluid, or is the fluid milky?

I am using redline mixing it 40:1. My gear oil is full. I am not sure about the compression. It is white smoke all the time. Sorry about the pic. I just was trying to show all of the oil on it. I am using a 220 main at 5000 ft. I have FMF SSt pipes and reeds.

Assuming I have good compression should I rebuild the top end, or just replace the gasket. It is a 2003. I want to say it has around 150-200 hours of ride time.

| Either the head gasket is leaking or one side is loading up more than the other while the bike is sitting. My buddy's shee will load up on the right side when it sit's and smoke like a bitch until I get it out and flogg the shit out of it and it stops. But if one plug is brown and the other is almost clean then a head or base gasket is leaking coolant into the cylinder and cleaning the plug.

150 to 200 hours? Fresh bore, top end and gasket set. With that much time on it, why spend money on rings and gaskets when you can spend a hair more and freshen it up all the way. While the cylinders and head are off, have a machine shop check the gasket surfaces for flatness as well. Nothing worse than putting a fresh engine together and having it suck coolant..... ![]()
