the only way you can tell is if he had stock pistons and stock juggs and then measure the pop-up. there are no numbers on them to recall the long rod or stroker. bottom line if it's cheap buy it you can always resell it. the one i had i bought of e-bay and the guy did not know what he had, he told me it was a long rod stock stroke, turned out to be a stroker long rod, paid 84.00 for it and sold it for 257.00 not to bad lol.
