drag banshee. struts or shocks?

i'm building a banshee from frame up for asphalt drags all my buddies use shocks but i've seen several with struts I've riden both an I like how the struts feel better than the shocks they give you more of a feel as to what the bikes gonna do. any thoughts on this would be appreciated and if someone kows where you can purchase the custom aluminum struts that would be helpful also thanks!

well you could just find some 1-inch dia. metal pipe and use for solid struts.....at least for temperairly untill you find some aluminum ones. me and my brother has some for our bikes.

i say struts. it robbs power lifting the front end, but at the same time there is little weight transfer making it easier for you to lose traction and smoke the tires. i dont run on asphalt only sand, so struts work well for me because of the paddle tires but i have tried launching on asphalt(not with the paddles) and get nothing but wheel spin and to big black marks. try both and see what happens.jmo

ya man try both on your shee if you can swap them out at the track to see what ones give you a better time if they evey are able to give you a better time....

i used square tubing because i dont have money for Shaws

tried both..I recommend marvin shaw shocks.
I found that at the top end of the track with a ton of speed, the struts seem to zig zag the bike... kinda scary at 90-100 mph !

Marvin Shaw comps for the front, Strut for the rear.
