Default choke broken?

when i pull the choke out it pulls itself right back in(like im stretching an elastic) so i have to pull the choke then use needle nose pliars on the cable to hold it out.what cou;d be wrong with the choke???

that happened on the rancher I used to have. It should be fine. Im not sure how to fix it.

Remove the choke assembly and buy a new one. Probably a 14mm wrench.
There is a clip/spring detent system. Once they get worn, you replace them.
What kind of carb is it? I will look and get you the part number...I know for After market Keihin carbs the whole assembly is like 12 to 14 bucks plus shipping.
