| as others stated the tires chassy and suspenison need some major changes ,engine wise youl lwant a port that is responsive and boosts lowend-midrange, lots of compression and timing vforce intake kn filters, lightned flywheel ,i would say no big bore , stroker or huge carbs

| For gncc, start with suspension. Banshees can't use all the power they have in the woods. Elka shocks front and rear, holeshot gncc tires...22x7-10 front, 21x11-9 on the rear. As for engine mods for the woods, I'd go with a Dynoport 2 into 1 pipe...smooths out the power band and helps on low end power, advance the timing, keep the stock carbs...just re-jet, high flow air filter, boyesen pro series reeds, mill the head for more compression or run a cool head. That's how I would set up a banshee for woods racing...if I ever get one.

| if your riding in the woods, id go for good tires, suspension , full skid plates, then worry about horsepower, you can have all the horsepower in the world, but its no good if you cant put it to the ground or control it on anything other than a straight line, steering dampener would be nice too, my friends 450r had one, mad a huge difference over stock,if you got a pile of cash layin around and you really want to MX go for the outlaw chassis, they are rare and big$$ though. but its not just the frame you have to buy, its all the components to match it too,but for most its probably overkill and a waste of money, MX is more rider than anything else, i use the example all the time- look at DDQ's videos... if he can hit 100+ footers smooth as silk on a damn piped banshee with a yfz450 front end, than that tells you alot, like eveyrone said, mx and gncc are 100% different, so itd be tough to build one for both, the wide width and small tires of an MX would be horrible in the woods, but than again i wouldnt want a stock width front end on there either, they are horrible and tippy, +2 each side is great in the woods, i ride trails from as wide as 2 lane highways to as narrow as a 4 wheeler, i would never want my stock front end back, +2 is fine for the woods, the banshee is already narrow stock, all the +2 does is put it equal to most new , stock, 450s , a good tuned piped banshee has no problem hanging with the piped 450s and raptors ,so especially for woods riding id put off power till last, but i understand most people, especially banshee riders, are usually more concerned with power than anything else so really its up to you, tires and suspension are what i went for first and would do the same thing again if i had to, id probably be faster through the woods on a banshee with stock pipes, that had good tires and suspension, than a 400cc powervalve motor on stock suspension and tires |

yea , id swallow my pride and get a 450 if i w as serious about gncc or even mx (mx haha yea right!) in tight woods you will get tired on a banshee MUCH faster than if you were riding a 700 or 450 |

| witha stock frame and A arms suspension you will ache i n about a half hour trying to steer it i n the corners and diceing around trees
