won't idle

I just bought a banshee with a single carb and it won't idle and when I ride it the left cylinder doesnt want to run unless I am giving it about half throttle or more. Any suggestions?

It doesnt have tors anymore. It has the trinity 2 into 1 carb setup

ooops!! start with plugs and wires! if it still does that switch the plug wires to see if the problem moves... could be the reeds or compression... you should do a compression test and do a leak down test to get a base line feel for the condition of the motor... take some wd40 and spray it around your bases and carbs and stuff the rpm will drop if you have an airleak. the idle could simply be a matter of turning your idle screw up ... let us know

I tried adjusting the throttle cable because when I took the filter off the carb it looks like the slide is down too far to let air in but i though there should be an air bleed in it somewhere to let it idle. I also tried adjusting the idle screw and it doesnt change anything

turn the screw clock wise till the idle comes up if it doesnt you may have the wrong screw!! it should be on the body on the carb in line with the slide you probably should pull the carb and clean it this way you can check the jet sizes both the pilot and the main how do the plugs look?

Just put new plugs in it. The old ones were not really that bad though. They actually both looked about the same.

what is the rest of your set up? what type of carb and size? pipes? details my friend !!!

Have you richened up the jetting considerably for that carb? the 1 into 2 needs a lot more jet to feed two cylinders than it would if it were paired with it's twin....
