2005 banshee is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Toomey T6 and porting

Hey Guys.....Wanted to get more power out of my 05 Banshee and was wondering if i should get my engine ported. I have T6 pipes with the 2 in 1 air filter, and Noss cool head with 21cc domes. I've read that porting doesn't work well with the T6's, but also read that if you get it ported for that pipe, it works fine.

I ride mostly trails, so was thinking of getting just a mild port. Maybe an eric gorr woods port. Any thoughts or opinions on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks alot

John

eric gorr does woods style porting for a yamaha banshee and with alot of other mods will make around mid 50's hp from all the dynos ive seen on his stuff ,if your happy wit h that then go that route ,i think he charges 250$-300$ +shipping for the porting and his turnaround time is long . just because the t6 series pipes dont respond as good as other pipes ,doesnt mean you wont greatly benfit from it ,because you definitly would , i bet if you kept the exhaust timing relatively tame those pipes would work really good on a midrange port with higher compression ,

Is there anyone out there who has a ported banshee with T6's ? If so could you give me some feed back.

Also who would be the best choice for me to port my banshee. Just wanna add more power throughout the entire engine, but also need it to remain reliable.
