ok i checked everything electrical and it seem my plug wire cap is defect... it reads 5 meg ohms instead on 5 kilo ohms so there something right here. everything else is in spec, when cold (78 f) i'll try to make a run tomorow and test things when hot but ill definitely replace the plug wire cap!

put down the new cap yesterday, was promising idle was better et slower went to try it.... was very good BUt about 20 minutes later it started again... when i ride hard i can hear it ping in the exhaust. when when i try to push it again when in trouble it bogs down in high gear ... ill get my meter tomorow and check the thing when its hot ill let you know!

are you sure you dont have a jetting problem.....pinging in exaust when hot could be detonation or a lean mixture.

didnt have time to saw the plug sorry but it looks chocolate brown like cofee with milk...

i'm not a coffee drinker either but if what you are describing is a caramel color then that is right where you want it to be as far as your jetting goes.

thats the color it should be DIRECTLY after a 6th gear pinned out run, all plugs will eventually turn black in color,the chocolate brown deal only works 1 time with a new plug, eventually it should be getting darker, if its not, you may be lean. i know my jetting is spot on, has been for years, but..after i do a plug check...its chocolate brown, ...in about 2 hours if not less than that of riding it gets darker...alot darker, but it doesnt foul out.

im goin to say this again, its ur coil, the same problem happened to me on my indy 5, if uve had mud in there it causes it to over heat really fast, and thats what ur porblem is, ill lay money down on it

yeah i always just throw in a new plug, go down the road have it wide-open in 6th then let of the gas and shut it down at the same time. then I take a peek at the plug.


Id try your coil like Revin-it is reccomending. but still if you just threw on that pipe its gonna need rejetted. I dont know alot about pro curcuit but i know my toomey went from stock to a 310 main when i put it on.
