| Riding this weekend, my blaster would not rev at all. Perfect idle. Cleaned carb real good, and has good gas and reeds. Next, I assume it is an electrical problem with the TORS unit. The electrical wire coming from the parking brake on the left handle bar has been ripped off from a previous crash. I messed with all the wires from the TORS on up and did get it to rev up for a breef period, but then the problem returned. The question is, how do I remove or disable this unit completely. Please be very specific. Bike is an 2003. Problem seem to be related to riding through water, but may just be a coincedence. Last edited by burgunder; 07-03-2006 at 11:55 PM. Reason: missspelled |

| thank you yfz350. There is one wire going into the top of the "carb box" to a little plunger that is compress when the throttle is closed. So I cut that wire? The wire from the parking break is pulled out and I am going to solder them together. Is that it?. I did also find that small black rectangular box. Don't do anything with that? Also, will the idle screw continue to work? |

| I just pulled all the wires out of it....the one in the throttle box on the handlebars, fallowed it down and ripped it out of everything, siliconed the shit up, and threw it out the window on the drive home.....never had a problem with it, and never will ![]()

| Also, will the idle screw continue to work?[/quote] The idle screw will work fine but if you get rid of the unit off the top of the carb you will need the idle screw kit. It's a very simple install. You can get a complete kit from Vitos. |

| The reason your bike wont rev up is because of the parking brake wire that was ripped off. Its so you dont take off with the brake on. Twist it together and it will work fine. Dont bother to remove the rest of it. Its actually worth having. The first time your throttle sticks in 5th, you'll wish you had it. People only remove the tors when they stop working. And yours apperently still works. But if you decide to do it anyway: The idle screw that sits on top of your carb going into the plastic box is your idle screw. It should continue to work. The parking brake wire should be conected. The throttle wire coming from your thumb throttle can simply be unplugged. The wire to the carb top can be unplugged. Also the Tors box needs to be unplugged or the bike wont start. I think its under the front plastic grill piece near the headlight. Again, im telling you this based on my understanding of a banshee's wiring, not a blaster. Although they are similar in most respects, they are not the same machine.
