Please help!! 02 blaster...

I just bought a 2002 blaster for $1150. It seems to run great , I have only taken it out about 3 to 4 times since I bought it. I seem to hear a slight ticking noise, it sort of sounds like the motor is shaking. I was wondering if this is just because it is a two stroke and I am not familiar with them at all. Also my oil light keeps coming on while I ride so I shut the quad off give it a couple minutes and when I turn it back on it seems to be fine. Any help? I appreciate it. Oh and on the right side of the motor, there is a cap I can twist off sort of looks like a cap for a dip stick, is this where I put transmission oil. Please Help!!! Thank you.

hmm, whens the last time you checked your oil injection oil level? the light means your outta oil injection for the gas and oil mixture, or it means the engine is running too lean. disregaurd that if your using premix. BUT the noise your hearing maybe the oil injection pump. its a plastic drive gear thats known to fail. do not run it anymore, take it to the shop or have a friend look at it if your not sure how to repair it. or take the time to learn nows a good time to get a clymer manual! good luck!

And yes the cap on the clutch cover is for Your tranny oil.

let's say i buy an oil block kit.. will that replace the oil injection pump. Then i could just use premix.

yes buying a block off kit will eliminate the oil injector then u just use premix

sounds like something a woman would do. when the light comes on she just shuts it off so it will heal itself and starts going again.
