N00b engine question

hey guys, i have been riding for most of my life and i am just starting in the 2 stroke game...im buying a 2002 blaster with a small crack in the case for 350$

does anybody have a bottom end for sale or be willing to trade something so i can get it fixed?

what do reed cage spacers do?

seal the crack with jb weld itll hold my buddy has a warrior with a cracked case and its held with jb weld its held up 4 the past 2 years

yeah, i have heard of the jb weld trick, but it is right by the shifter and i dont know how good it will bond.....are there different size spacers for different tuning (if so what are they)....thanks

Save your money and get your case welded......

yeah i was planning on getting it welded, i just have to get a piece made to fit where the shifter shaft comes out, i dont know amy place locally that will do it but ill look around...thanks for the help

what do you think is the best cheap motor mod for a 2 stroke?

many easy mods like upgrading exhaust and the reeds. If you really want to improve your motor, numerous companies provide 240cc kits for the blasters..kinda pricy but not bad if you plan on riding a lot.

yeah im looking at seeing what i can do without boring the engine out, but i am realliy interested in the 240....so far on my list is a uni filter, reed cage spacer, reeds, port and polish, and an exhaust system.

what is a good brand of reeds? (do i have to buy just reeds or do i have to get aftermarket reeds and a reed cage?)

is it possible to port and polish a 2 stroke?(i dont know im a 4 stroke guy, looking to learn) how much approx. does that cost?
