Exclamation blaster problem

hey i own a 1996 yamaha blaster and have had a problem heres what happened,i was going down the road in 5th gear and all of a sudden it died and wouldnt fire,i replaced the spark plug and new boyesen power reeds,i am getting good spark now and its getting gas and i think compression(but i dont have a compression tester)any help would be appreciated

my old plug was black and all i have done to it is boyesen power reeds

im realy upset because i have a new dg exhaust system and a racing jet kit on the way but i cant get it running,it might also have a weisco piston but not sure if that helps.

genrally this sounds like yo uwaded your topend ...but if that is okay ,you may have sheared your flywheel key ,if the compression is good and its getting fuel then it must be electrical related

where is the flywheel located and how do you check to see if ok,i also have a black wire not hooked up to anything its coming from where the throttle hooks up to the carb

did you replace the reeds after it quit running? make sure that they are aligned correctly and the reed petals are not open at all. if they are open it won't start. when i sheared my flywheel key, it would try to start and back fire.

yea i replaced the reeds after it quit runnning they are allighned right but there is a little space on each side of the reed block (they are aftermarket dual stage boyesen reeds),it also back fires ever anout 10 kicks
