Default how much power would this setup have?

I dont own a blaster, yet, but i'd like to find a really cheap one to fix up some time. this guy that owns a shop here has a decent little blaster that he's trying to part out, I asked him if he would sell the whole bike but the asshole said he'd rather just part it out instead of sell it. he wants to try and squeeze every little penny out of it he can instead of just get rid of it for a cheap price.

but anyways, I'd plan on making it a hell of nice little trail/all around play bike and also have some muscle for drag racing with the bigger bikes. heres my idea for the engine setup. I'd go with a +4 stroker crank with space plate, either a hotrods or vitos crank. run the stock cylinder and have it ported for mid range/top end power. use one of the right hand bend exhausts, not sure which one though. mill the head to get about 200 psi compression and run with 110 octane. advance timing 4 degrees and lighten flywheel. vforce 3 reed valve and probably a 34mm pwk and uni foam filter.

about how much power would this setup put out? would it be very quick in a 300ft drag with about a 140lb rider?

the hotrods stroker is a 4mm and reqires case trenching.the vitos is a 3mm and does not need trenching.id run 35 or 36 keihin pwk.they do not make a 34mm version of the pwk.that would definetly be a potent little machine though.you can get a head start and buy my jug already ported for your riding style by Flotek...here's the link if interested http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...4287394&rd=1,1 my drag quad ran real hard with this setup.even with the more topend oriented porting it still had decent bottom-mid with the stroker installed.i absolutly loved this setup..just need to go BIGGER.

only twostrokes is on the right track....

heres my $.02 though....

if you've got some cah to play with...

vitos 3mm stuffer crank , ultimate 240 cylinder drag ported, milled and rechambered head to around 190-200PSI , pipe (CPI, DYNOPORT, POWERPROS, or SHEARER), 38mm PWK, clamp on filter, +6 timing, lightened flywheel... that'll get your balster moving...

or... by the guys 6mm stroker balster motor in the classifeds for $800

ok, I didnt know that. I was looking through my motosport catalog I got the other day and its got a hotrods +4 stroker crank for the blaster, but the only side note it has for it is that the head chamber would need to be machined 2mm deeper to accept longer stroke. I didnt know you would have to trench the cases also. and, would you notice any difference between the hotrods +4 and the vito's +3? it sounds like it would be better to just drop in the vito's +3 stuffer crank.

and I was lookin on vitos website and they sell a 35mm ( i think?) airstryker for their 240 cylinder. would that work pretty good with a stock cylinder setup with mid/topend porting? or would it be too much carb and drown out the bottom end power?

and 370, that sounds like it would be a balls out drag racer. I'd rather set it up to have all around power so I could ride it in trails and stuff but also still be pretty fast on topend.

youd want atleast a 35mm on a ported 3milland or a big bore ,that puts the displacement at 244cc . the kits that claim they are a 240 are actually only a 232cc the stroker gives yo uthe additional 12cc . as far as the stock ported setup with a 35 Keihin id say as long as it was ported and the static compression was raised to atleasts 145lbs youd probably be fine and wouldnt lose too much lowend .theres probably alot cheaper places to get the 35mm airstrker than vitos though ,a nice alternative for that would be a stock 250r carb (34mm pj) you can buy them on ebay all day for like 50$ youll need a new bigger manifold and spacer with a k&n clamp on kit too ,be sure ot ru nan outerware ,also advance the timing and look at vforce for the reeds

I just bought a 34PJ for $22.50 shipped off ebay, I'd go with that or a 35PWK for trails.....

Get a 3mm, good port job on a 240bb, v-force 3 reeds, Ive trail ridden mine with a 38mm and it did damn fine. Dumbest thing i couldve done but i missed just riding the old girl lol. CPI, dynoport or shearers exhaust, adjustable stator would be nice to have with that setup.
