| Hey guys i just picked up a 99 blaster, its completely stock other, than a banshee rear and a vitos 240 kit with the hemi head, im not sure if it has a jet kit in it but the needle is blue, the problem is it wont start, after messing with it i loosened the header(stock) and then it started right up but there is no throttle response, so im assuming i need a new exhuast, is there anything else i should buy, and are there any reccomendations for a complete exhuast and jets . also i need to replace the clutch and brake levers and cables, and plastics, any one know a good place to get them. ive seen a few with hydrualic brakes( id like to know more) and finally this is going to be for my wife to ride |

Do you mean something whent though the cases, Am I also to understand the whole top end was wasted. I think you have more probs than a cracked reed. IT SOUNDS LIKE WHOEVER PUT THE TOPEND TOGETHER LEFT AN AIR LEAK. Be careful when you put it back together. Now for recomendations your wifes bike I would get a set TDR reeds. they cost a bit more but they will be the last petles you'll need. FULL EXAUST-I would get a CPI big bore inframe. they cost $310 and the big bore will love you for it. Pick up a used 250r carb for cheap. Then let her blast away on the blasty. Oh any maybe a hydro rear brake convertion. If it was for you say to hell with it, but Hey I got a wife too and she need all the safty she can get. |

| well everything was tight and the gaskets were fine, im pretty sure it was the broken reed that went in the cylinder, i took the rest of them off and they are quite hard, i think they might be carbon fiber or something, everything on the bike is stock (exhuast, carb), and by 250r, you mean what, cr250 r? |
| ||||||||||||
| no i think he means trx 250r the quad
