Default Need help again....56k beware (lots of pictures)

Ok....so someone here helped me getting the service manual....Thanks.....but now I'm in the process of rebuilding my little brothers Blaster.....It has never run, he bought it used. Anyways in the service manual it shows an oil tank in the rear...I guess under the seat. My question is dumb....but here goes.....Do I need this oil tank? I don't know since this Blaster didn't have one. If so, where do I connect it to? Thanks.....

By the way here are some pictures of the rebuild......

See if there's a block off kit installed on the engine, most Blaster owners will delete this Autolube pump, as it's plastic gear driven, and prone to failure. I'm guessing since the tank is gone, the pump has been blocked, and the gas pre-mixed by the previous owner.......

Pull the plastic side cover off, there should be phillips screws holding it on. There will either be a pump with two lines coming out of it or there will be a plate. If, the pump is still there, I suggest you invest in the plate, and get rid of that pump.

It's on the kick side. You want to take the smaller plastic cover towards the front off.

Ok.....well after months of working on and off on this thing, I finally started it last night. It started revving super high so we got it to idle right. Then the moment came to put it in gear and guess what.....it won't come out of neutral. So I started checking through the service manual....but I couldn't figure anything out.

2 or 3 weeks ago we did try it (without turning on the motor) and it would get into gear. But now it won't. Any quick ideas? I appreciate it since I wanted to ride for the first time this weekend. Thanks
