Default blaster needs help

hello everyone. i'm new to the site. my brother bought a 97 blaster for $300.00 we put a new piston in it. standard bore, the cyl. wall was in great shape. it has a dg pipe and silencer , k&n filter and a jet kit. i'll have to look on my notes for the size. the problem . it had proper breakin after the top end rebuild. it kick started fine ran awesome. shut it off to go in and warm up. came out, won't kick start. we could push start it though. he called me tonight. he went out yesterday to ride. no luck starting period. not even push starting it. checked the plug , looks good nothing out of the ordinary. tues. i'm going to go through the electrical system to check everything. i do know the old owner had it in the back of his truck uncovered for a while. any help would be very helpful .. thankyou very much for any help and/or info anyone may have.

possibly flooded, like denny said check the easy things first, spark, fuel, flywheel, all electrical connections are tightly plugged in ,make sure all jets in carb are not plugged, if the fuel was left on over night or something theres always the possibility that the cylinders are full of fuel, i had that happen to my shee
