Default blaster shocks

a kid at school told me that yfz450 shocks would mount in the blaster without any problem, is this true, i never heared 450 shocks working only 400ex's. also does changing the shocks to 400ex or 450's (if they work) make an improvement.

i doubt it...way too tall of a shock i think. You could make a lowering bracket and run them propably.

No they don't work. i tried because my buddy has a 450 and he got some aftermarket shocks. you can however get a kit that will mount them, i've seen it on ebay. otherwise there wayyy too long for the stock or even long travel setup which sucks because they are nice shocks imo. i've got some banshee shocks on my blaster which are a little longer then stock and seem to work pretty good. thats another idea...

I read that the stock yfz450 shocks will but but there will need to be modifications made. I cant remember if it was to the shocks or frame. I believe the guy that I'm talking about welded all new mounts on the frame.

I don't know how much 400ex rear shocks are but if price is important for you then you may want to check on the 250R rear shock because on ebay they are really cheap.

ya im not looking to spend a fortune, so would a 250r or 400ex rear shock make a difference on the blaster, im sure it won't make a HUGE difference but will i notice it. and which is better the 250r or 400ex shock.
