| I've heard that you really have to beat it out of there. Make sure you cover the threads by double nutting or using a socket. I have destroyed one trying to get it out.

| Yea i have been trying to be careful ive been beating it against a 6x6 beam. damn thing wil not give though.. im out of ideas right now i saoked it again before i called it quits tonight im hoping that works but i doubt it. fIGURED id see if anyone had any tricks to getting them out.. next thing i might try is cutting the inside ring of the bearing somehow if i can get in there and seeing if that helps it but then there is the other bearing i cant get at so i dont know

| Place a few pieces of plywood on the garage floor. Hold the axle about 6-12 inches above the plywood and let it drop under it's own weight with the side you want out facing up and drop it while making sure it won't fall over and it will bump itself out eventually. It's safe and how I have done it in the past. And make sure it doesn't hit the concrete or you could mar the shaft splines.

| Man all I can say is I beat the shiite out of mine and after I destroyed the threads, I BEAT IT EVEN HARDER!!! It was the principal of the thing. I never got it out. Sometimes they are just stuck. FWIW the correct way is to use a press on it. I don't have one of those so.......
