| looks like you got a pretty well built blaster from those mods. im running 14/40 gearing on mine. I think it works good for the trails. you can pull hills easy in 3rd gear and still have enough wheel speed to keep your momentum up with out bogging the motor.

| thanks....that is kinda what i was thinking about using..i just had stock gears on it and 1st was so low it was practically useless

| Sixth gear must be TOTALLY! useless with 14/40 gearing????????? I have 13/41 on my Blaster and now it pulls good in sixth!, trails are a blast in fourth gear!

| I would suggest 14/41 or something like that, just wondering... what 240 cylinder do you have and is it ported? if so what style porting? this will all play into gearing.

| i have a airsal non-ported cylinder....id really like to get it ported but i may have to wait til my summer break when im not paying for college...i just know that im not using a lot of potential the motor has

| i agree with ky, especially 1st is too low (for me, at least), and the top two or 3 gears will make the machine bog if you shift it at too low rpms. I dont drag race but just notice this when driving on the road to the place i usually ride. i will prob try 14/40 for a little more speed in the low gears.

| ehhh just put 19s on it.. i have no issuse with mine.. but then again i dont rip through the woods in 4th gear. 2-3 gears for me.. i make my own trails. |
