Default Hot Rods Crank..Stroker or Not?

i have an old blaster i am parting out and i looked at the bottom end and noticed it had a hot rods cranks in it. so i am wondering if it is a stroker or not. it say C.K. 144 on the rod and also says hotrods on the rod. The actual crankshaft has H.R. and a symbol on it. Thanks.

You can't tell without measuring it. If the crank is out, measure the distance from the center of the crank to the end of the rod at tdc then measure the distance at bdc. tdc - bdc = stroke.

Take a metric ruler and measure from the top of the case tdc and bdc. Same thing just make sure you measure from the exact same spot on the case. You dont have much room for error doing it this way, 3mm is not that much of a difference

yeah that is kind of what i was thinking...i will have to be very accurate to be able to tell 4mm of a difference. i contacted hot rods and their engineer wont be back unitl friday, so i figured i would ask on here. stock stroke for a blaster is 57mm, right? and how do you get it exactly at tdc and bdc? thanks

someone tell me if this will work--put the clyinder and piston on and then measure from the top of the cylinder to the top of the piston at tdc and bdc--it jsut seems that it would be more accurate to do it that way. thanks
