Default Will a Wiseco piston work in an airsal 240 kit??

Alright i have a airsal 240 cylinder that i bought from project blaster and when i went to put a new piston in it i called the guys at project blaster and wondered if i could use a wiseco piston. They said no because the wiseco has windows in it and the airsal piston dosen't and i would lose some power. It is a 71mm piston, so that is smaller than most big bores...so i guess it really isnt a 240, but anyway........are they telling the truth or do they just want my business? The airsal piston seems to be good quality but i would rather not deal with those clowns at project blaster. And if i had flotek port the cylinder, would that allow me to use a wiseco?? thanks

fi i rememerb correctly yhe arisol cylinder is based on a CR125 port layout... and a CR125 or any that i;ve been insdie were not piston port engines... soo this cylinder is not set up for a piston port style piston.. your best bet is the proper piston for the application... UNLESS wiseco makes a piston for this application.. porting the cylinder will nto change the geometry of that cylinder to require the use of a piston port style piston.. also... you don't have to go through project blaster to get an arisol piston... alot of other companies deal with arisol..

The cylinder might have an intake like a cr125 and sub exhaust ports but it doesnt have powervalve unit that closes them off or the crankcase pressure of one,as far as the windows in the piston ,I dont think its going to make much of any difference its all getting pulled in through the main and boysen ports regardless ,theres more than enough velocity and draw at 10,000rpms either way but im sure they do make a wiseco piston without windows ,ive seen people run the 2 different style of pistons both ways with no change in power whatsoever

none of they are actually 240 kits, a 72mm (standard for 240 BB) actually only puts you at 232cc's.
