Default New to the forum

Hey,

I'm new to the forum and just bought my first blaster. It's in good condition and got it real cheap. The only problem with it is the throttle tends to stick. I know its not on top by handle and think it is somewhere towards the engine. If anyone has any ideas and knows how to maybe adjust the throttle that would be great.

Also, this may be a stupid question that I should already know the answer to, but how do i adjust (tighten) the chain?

Thanks

umm you need to clean the carb out....
to tighten the chain.. losin the bolts on the rear carier theres two of them and then adjust the tightiners.. there two small screws that are on the bottom of the carrier.

yea to tighten the chain you loosen the bolt on the rear, then adjust the other two bolts the same, you know say u do 1/4 turn out for the left bolt, you do the same for the right bolt

Welcome to E2S. I agree with the others. Clean the carb, replace the air filter, change the oil and lube both the throttle and clutch cable. You can get a cable luber at your local MC shop or on line. It's what I always do when I bring home a new to me bike. I don't care if the seller told me he changed the oil and did all the other stuff. It's all about a piece of mind knowing that it has been done. Post some pic's also when you get a chance.

Yeah, let's see that Blaster!!!
No worries about the simple questions, that's what the forum is for.. These guys will always have the answers for you.
You joined the perfect site, thanks for joining!

Make sure you tighten chain before you ride though, don't want that chain to skip and mess up the sprockets.
