| an o-ring head on an air-cooled motor?? wouldn't the heat generated from a blaster motor just cook the o-ring? I don't think I'd ever try it on an air-cooled motor.

| Good point, that's the kinda feedback I was looking for! How much heat can neoprene handle? It's between the cylinder & the water jacket on the YZ so doesn't the heat have to pass through it before it's removed? Hmmmmm. Now I'm worried ![]()

| I wonder if you could find a copper o-ring the right size? |
| ||||||||||||
| The metal o-ring wouldnt have the same properties as the rubber/neoprean. I would just stick to the copper head gaskets, However if you feel ambitious call Cometic Gaskets & I'm sure they can make somthing for you thats better than stock....Just ask them.

| Why can't you use piano wire o-rings like cars use in supercharged applications?

| You would have to find a metal that expands the correct amount at the right temp.
