Default Reserve doesnt work

So i was out riding today and my blaster died. I looked in the fuel tank and i couldnt see any fuel, but it was getting dark. Anyways, i switch it over to reserve and guess what happened, nothing! I was pretty mad, I was about 1.5 miles from my house. I walked back and got a tie down strap and took the mule to pick it up. I got it on the back and put on the parking break and it stayed in place while I secured it even though the back tires were hanging off. I was thinking one of two things could have happened. The reserve opening is clogged or the valve is screwed up so that it allows all the fuel to be used in the on position. Any suggestoions to fix this, that whole reserve thing comes in handy some times.

pull your petcock off the tank and look at the feed tubes. the reserve tube should only be a plastic screen, but it sets low enough that the trash in the bottom of the tank gets clogged in it some times and then you run into the problem that your talking about. im not saying thats what your problem is but its worth a look.

you might also want to pull the petcock apart and see if the little black rubber piece isn't ripped, if it is it may allow fuel to to be sucked out through the reserve hole. just a thought

i took it apart and the long tube wich is the on position was loose, i pulled it out and looked down in there and there was some gunk so i cleaned that out and put it back in. I think that was the problem.

As a good tip. I replaced my Banshee fuel line from the petcock to the carbs.

Replaced stock with a clear see thru line. This way I can always see if the carbs are getting gas.
