CDI Box

Newbie....Took my 03 Blaster to Shop and was told the CDI box was bad because It would not rev up after many combos of jets had been changed. Is there a test for the CDI before you sink $100+ for a new one? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

What mods are on that B? Have your removed the TORS, It's sure is giving those type of symptoms?

a cdi box on fleabay for a blaster should be more than 20 bucks i wouldnt think .
sounds like your shop is putting the buggy i n front of the horse

I have read about removing the TORS, but was unsure of the step-by-step to do same. Would like to try that first. Thanks if you can direct me on how and where to the kit to remove it....If that is necessary.

It's a 2003 and I have checked a couple of places on the internet and the CDI for that year is listed at over a hundred bucks. I will check around some more to try to find one.

find someone you know with a blaster that runs good swap the boxes real quick and see if theirs acts up too. when i first got my banshee it was acting all wierd thought it was the cdi, swapped em on a friends his still ran fine. then i figured out it was the tors
