my first true ride :D

ok guys I finally had my first true ride on a REAL quad.. well a blaster is real enough IMO

I changed sparkplug, took off the lawmower tired and blaster hubs... the right side was so messed up i broke the tip off my axel! my grandpa drilled a new hole and we got a pin in it.. but i cant run a washer now.. ok after that i put on my friend's spare set of shee wheels that have such bald dunlops on it my grandpa looked at them and seriously asked me what I was doing with racing slicks lmao.. so yeh put those on.. then filled the tranny oil up... played with it in the yard making sure it was going to run.. and all seemed fine...

after finally getting things setup i went through town.. decided to go by my dad's so i back tracked went to his house..stopped there talked to him a bit..left and just decided to give it all she had... well I wasn't able to ever top it out b/c stop signs.. so I'm happy that I have more power than I need to go through town...

hit the gravel road to my house (about a 4 mile ride) and i opened her up.. I also .. didn't top it out... so I'm happy with the power of a blaster since I'm just getting used to sport quads I'm afraid of the banshee now.. and it's not even done yet...

OHHH,,, but... right at the end of maybe the last 100 yards.. i go around the curve and i here a loud clunk and clanging.. all of sudden I'm coasting and I'm freaking out so bad thinking my clutch was destroyed (looked down and seen the chain) well I heard a nasty grinding and I instantly fealt like i was going to throw up (also this whole time it's just running strong) .. i stop and push it up into the yard and my grandpa (he followed me to make sure i would make it home.. oh and I also took off and left him behing lmao..) ,, well he seen my rear sprocket...

The axel nuts were off and my sprocket hub thing slid off the splines and was turning on the axel.. how the chain didn't throw off I have no clue!..

anyways I just got done take the wheel off tapping it back into place then throwing Sheela's almost new kendaklaws on it.. it was hard as hell to start again i kicked it like 5 times.. (then changed my gas to ON) choked it and started right up

wait this was recently that you rode a quad for the first time? or are you just telling us your first ride on one? I'm confused.

I have/had an lt160 which isn't much of a quad if you ask me...

and i have been on a yamaha timberwold honda rancher and a articcat ... so all utility..

I have road a blaster a couple times but only in 1st and 2nd gear turning it around in my friend yard (same with his shee in 1st) .. last night i rode the blaster maybe 2 blocks (in the dark with no lights) and today was my first time actually getting to RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!! everything else has been pinging around in circles or it was me riding a slow utility quad... and i'm shocked after all that time i only stalled it a couple times when i would stop at a stopsign and try to take off in like 3rd and wouldn't gas it enough.. but i'm getting the hang of this fast... sorry for all the writing i still have a rush from it and I love it

wait till you actually ride a banshee wide open through the gears for the first time, your gona hop back on the blaster and its gona feel like a lawn mower, honestly
you couldnt even compare a stock blaster, even to a bone stock banshee, its a different zip code

That's awesome how grandpa helps you out just for you to ride! Your dad.. can he help you with funding your builds??
Don't have to answer that, just saying... maybe he can help 8 get that Ball rolling!

Either way, good thing you got that ride in. And you'll always have that great feeling each time you ride. It never goes away.
That feeling will get better on the Banshee too, I promise!! I feel I can outrun the Blaster when I ride it right after the Banshee lol!!

Yeah my grandpa is awesome about it letting me use his tools and stuff and he even helped me get some things swapped around on it. (not to mention a Sheela has been sitting in his shop taking up the rest of his space he had since the middle of Feb.)

My dad would go out and buy me a new banshee if he had the money lol, it's not really much of a funding problem as much as it is a "idk what I'm doing and I don't want to F things up" problem... but my dad came over last weekend and helped me get the pistons rings and jugs on the shee.. he's not a mechanical person either but we do what we can and are learning together!

OHH and the blaster IS being kept for now that's for sure.. I talked with my grandmother about it today (note i still owe her A LOT! for the banshee) she was just like.. so are you keeping this one too? I just didn't even want to say "idk" b/c of the money I owe her and I need to sell the blaster to help pay her off... well I spit out "I'm thinking of going to work over here and trying to pay you off first and then I'll think about it"

she was just like.. well if you keep them both then it would give you and your dad both something to ride... I was stunned... here I am sitting here owing her $$ and she thinks it would be nice for me to keep it (knowing i needed to sell it to pay her back)... see that's how nice she is about it.. she would rather me and my dad getting to spend more time together doing something than me pay her back!.... lol my family loves me.. when I paid her the first $100 back she acted like she didn't even want it! and turned around and handed me $20 back since I was going to do something.. I turned around and handed it back and refused to take it lol..
