Default reed spacer thickness

first of all, do reed spacers make a difference? and secondly whats the optimum thickness, i have a crappy little bench top mill and I want to make one, maybe I'll make a batch of em and sell em on here

I really don't see or understand how they create performance, it's just a spacer!
Maybe someone can drop some light on this and prove me wrong...

Oh yeah, you need that spacer.. just saying I don't think it adds performance.
Fab em up! I'm sure they'll sell if you price em' right!

no what intake or "reed" spacers do is put more fuel and air mixture into ur cyl. those spacers are supposed to give u more bottom end performance but it depends on what other mods u have with certain mods u might not feel any difference but in all actuality its not gonna hurt ur performance and tha most common thickness is 1/4" but i would not go over 1/2"

I'm gonna go get some either 1/4 or 3/8 thick aluminum and make a few, I'll post em up when I'm finished, prob 10 or 15 bucks, i dont know, maybe cheaper. I need to go get some more end mills, my dad was trying to use it and broke all of the good ones.
