Default 240 Blaster compression on pump gas?

Rebuilding a 240 blaster and need to know psi I can get to and be safe with pump gas. Also, what kind of psi increase can I expect when the rings seat?
Thanks
Otis

Static compression-measured with a gauge by kicking the engine over-I would try to stay under 185psi, but 180 would be better for good pump gas around 92 octane. Actually compression ratio is a much better measure for what kind of fuel to run since static compression is just a function of atmospheric pressure.

there are 3 main factors (actually even more)when it comes to detonation ... ignition timing ,static compression , exhaust port design
